Halloween!!!!

Halloween! One of the best or rather funner holidays. We went to the Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD and met up with Camille's cousin, aunt and uncle. While there we went to an organ concert in the Chapel at the Academy. We had lots of fun and were able to see plenty of midshipmen all dressed up in costumes. One sneaky spandex elfish creature thing snuck up behind Camille and gave her quite the scare. Lucky for him, he hadn't met her just a few hours earlier when she was.......

That's right... Mrs. Incredible!!!! Which is perfect because that makes me.... uh, huh! Mr. Incredible. Camille's work had a team costume contest. She was on the super heroes team.

This time of the year is also when all of the leaves start to change color. However, we always seem to take pictures of the leaves at the wrong time. But, on Halloween, we did go to Great Falls National Park (MD side) and tried to see some of the colors. The drive was very nice but the pictures just didn't seem to capture it all. So, we have more pictures of the falls than any trees and leaves.

We were going for kind of the wind-blown hair look. Its going to be the new style. Just wait... you'll be doing it too.

Holidays are a time of traditions. Last year when we were dating, Camille introduced me to Dinner in a Pumpkin. Its a dinner that her family had around Halloween time. We hollowed out a pumpkin and put some browned ground beef, water chestnuts, mushrooms (I would never recommend anyone to eat one, but the other member in the family absolutely loves these brown, squishy, fungus, things), and a couple of other ingredients. It tastes pretty good and we had lots of fun making it.

Ummm.... So... It tastes much better than it looks in this picture. Mix it around a little bit and it is ready to go. Smacznego! As the Poles would say.

  1. You two are having great times. You are truly The Incredibles! I missed the casserole in the pumpkin this year. Bruce prefers it without mushrooms or water chestnuts, but it's just not the same. I want to see the ghost with the flaming eyes. Great to see that The Ove Glove lives on!

  2. The windy-hair look is catching on. If I only had enough hair for it to work for me. And I love my Ove Glove too.
